Vida Elementary School Chijulhá grade seven

Your class is learning a lot this year! Grade 7 students are continuing to learn to share with those in need, share their faith and nurture their personal relationship with the Lord Jesus through prayer, Bible reading, and active participation in their church. They are learning to discern, analyze, and reflect on life events and situations in the light of the Word of God, making decisions consistent with their faith. They are learning to write with clarity, order, and fluency and to demonstrate language mastery, confidently expressing themselves through oral expression, writing, narration, description and debate. They are working with large numbers on more complex equations. They are continuing to learn about the geography and history of the Americas, preventing natural disasters, and caring for the environment.

Vida Elementary School Chijulhá

The Agua de Vida Chijulhá campus is located in the community of Chijulhá, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala and hosts two school programs: an elementary school (opened in 2018) and a junior high school (opened in 2023). This class is part of the Agua de Vida Chijulhá Elementary School which serves over 150 students from Pre-kinder to Grade 7 from five surrounding communities. Many homes that our students come from have only one parent present, and it is not unheard of to have siblings on their own for extended periods of time. It’s very difficult for families to find food to eat each day. At the Vida School the children are given a daily meal and are provided with resources and support which otherwise would prevent them from attending. Children at Agua de Vida Chijulhá Elementary School are receiving an academic education and lives are being changed as students learn to seek God and bring His love home to their families. Our hope is that they will grow into godly leaders who will serve the Lord and impact their community.
